What is Coaching?

Coaching is a transparent relationship where transformational conversations are held through asking empowering questions to catalyze new ways of thinking and seeing the world. Through coaching, you will come to see your own unshakable inner power to ignite extraordinary possibilities for yourself, your loved ones and the greater impact you choose to have. Coaching will guide you to discover your own zone of genius to create a life of fulfillment and make a contribution that is uniquely yours to make.

By assessing the current reality, identifying the pain points and challenges and the root causes of it all, coaching will help you gain clarity around the process of achieving the desired outcomes with authenticity and ease. To get the most out of this transformational journey, the entire coaching process needs to be carefully tailored to an individual's challenges, needs and desires. We specialize in providing a highly individualized approach to helping you live the life of your dreams starting now.

What prevents teens and young adults from getting a life coach?
My teen or young adult is too busy and doesn't have enough time

We all have the same 24 hours in a day, but how we use that time can vary. Life coaching helps us manage our time effectively through prioritization, focus, motivation, and collaboration with others. Stress can hamper productivity, so life coaching aids in reducing stress, freeing us to accomplish more. Understanding what truly matters to us and tackling those tasks first can further enhance our productivity.

Teen and young adult coaching requires a commitment of time. Besides the coaching sessions, there will be assignments to complete at home. These assignments ensure that teens and young adults can apply what they've learned to their lives and create lasting change. However, the time invested in coaching pays off significantly.

Teens and young adults who have undergone life coaching often find that their lives become more organized. Life coaching gives them back precious time, which they can use for enjoyment, spending time with family and friends, and furthering their skills and knowledge.

I don't have enough money to pay for my teen's or young adult's life coaching sessions

We understand that money is hard-earned, and spending it isn't always an easy decision. Research indicates that parents tend to spend more when their children are going through difficult emotions, struggling in school, behaving poorly and making irresponsible decisions. The money you invest in helping your child will be spent either way. The real choice lies in whether you invest in preparing your teen or young adult for a strong, responsible, healthy, successful, and happy future or use it to address future challenges related to broken relationships, recklessness, poor health, financial problems or depression.

Our belief is that it's more effective and ultimately cost-efficient to focus on prevention and building a solid foundation rather than trying to fix problems later on. Some of our clients had previously spent a considerable amount of money attempting to assist their children with tutoring, psychology sessions, assessments, and various therapies, most of which aimed at patching up issues rather than establishing a strong base.

It's important to recognize that people often spend money on temporary fixes to feel better, such as dining out, smoking, drinking, or shopping. Your teen or young adult is influenced by a society that seeks a better feeling through spending. When you add up these expenses, you'll realize that life coaching shifts this spending pattern, encouraging saving for a more fulfilling and happy life in the long run.

Does my child need life coaching or therapy?
Both therapists and coaches aim to improve the well-being of their clients. Yet, they have distinct differences.

Therapy can be a real game-changer if you aim to provide personalized mental health support for your teenager or young adult through a clinician. It delves into the "why" as you navigate and tackle challenging situations. Therapists are licensed professionals who diagnose and treat mental health conditions and their underlying causes.

Therapy is suited for tackling past trauma and addressing diagnosable mental health concerns. On the other hand, teen and young adult coaching is geared towards taking proactive steps to enhance a life that may be satisfactory but not the life that feels authentically happy. In other words, therapists focus on helping people heal, while life coaches focus on helping them reach their goals.

A perceptive adolescent put it succinctly: counseling dwells on the past, while coaching looks ahead to the future.
